ABOUT FREDA STREETER MBE

Freda Streeter MBEFreda Streeter MBE – “The Channel General” – has dedicated her life to outdoor swimming and recently received an MBE in the New Year’s honours list. Freda spent years running the The Dover Beach Crew, offering training sessions in Dover harbour for swimmers who were challenging themselves to solo and relay crossings of the English Channel. She has trained many aspiring English Channel swimmers including her daughter, Alison Streeter MBE, who has swum the English Channel a record breaking 43 times. This is a fantastic opportunity to hear Freda in conversation with SwimQuest’s John Coningham-Rolls (who swam the Channel under Freda’s watchful eye in 1998!)
