Human Givens Counsellor and Psychotherapist
Anna practises as a Human Givens psychotherapist at the Putney Clinic of Physical Therapy. The Human Givens model is a highly effective toolkit encompassing the latest scientific understandings from neurobiology and psychology, as well as ancient wisdom and some original new insights. It facilitates long lasting improvements, taking as few sessions as possible. Anna works with her clients to identify which changes they would like to bring about, and helps to find practical solutions using an outlook that focuses on the future and minimises time spent dwelling on the past.
Anna started her career in banking and international audit, and retrained as a specialist teacher, working for 11 years in a leading London day school to support pupils with emotional as well as educational challenges.
She engages in regular supervision and training in order to keep up with the latest findings in the world of psychotherapy. She is fully insured with Holistic Insurance Services and holds an advanced DBS certificate.
Anna works with adults, adolescents, and older children, and aims to provide support that is caring and professional, and unique to the client’s needs. Emphasis is placed on helping clients to move forward in their lives as quickly as possible, and to build self-awareness and resilience so they can be more in control when faced with challenges in the future.
As a fully qualified Human Givens therapist, Anna can work with you to reduce anxiety, break the cycle of depression, resolve trauma, stop addictive behaviour, relieve medical conditions and sleep issues, manage anger, harmonise relationships and build self-esteem. More information on the Human Givens approach can be found on their website: www.hgi.org.uk.
