Claire Cason is a Physiotherapist at The Putney Clinic of Physical Therapy. She graduated with a degree in Sport Rehabilitation in 2011. After this, she completed her Master’s Degree in Physiotherapy at the University of Southampton in 2014. She has a keen interest in learning and study. As a consequence, she is intending to undertake a course in advanced neuromusculoskeletal sciences in the near future.
Claire has worked with various sports teams, including the London Welsh and London Scottish rugby clubs. In addition to this, she spent several months in the USA, working with college athletes in South Dakota. She has also worked as an exercise rehabilitation instructor for the Ministry of Defence. In this role, she worked closely with injured soldiers, with the aim of helping them to return to service. Since completing her Master’s, Claire has also worked within the NHS in a variety of different settings. This experience has given her a wealth of knowledge in a wide range of pathologies.
Claire has a strong interest in acrobatic gymnastics. She has been involved with the sport for over 18 years; initially as gymnast and now as a coach. Through this, Claire has developed an understanding of and ongoing interest in the further stages of rehabilitation. In particular, she is interested in the demands this has on the body, from both a physical and psychological standpoint. Claire is keen to ensure that treatments are tailored to the individual from an early stage. She believes that this well-rounded approach facilitates rehabilitation.
