Claire completed her Masters Physiotherapy degree at the University of Southampton in 2014, after graduating from St Mary’s University with a BSc Hons degree in Sport Rehabilitation back in 2011. She has a keen interest in continued professional development and is currently studying a further Master’s degree in advanced neuromusculoskeletal physiotherapy at the university of Hertfordshire.
Claire has worked with various sports teams including London Welsh and Scottish rugby clubs, as well as spending several months in the USA working with college athletes in South Dakota. She also worked as an exercise rehabilitator instructor for the Ministry of Defence, helping to return injured soldiers back to the front line. Since completing her Masters, she has been working within the NHS in a variety of different settings, gaining a wealth of knowledge in ranging pathologies and is a senior musculoskeletal physiotherapist with them.
Claire has a strong interest in acrobatic gymnastics and is currently working with Team GB travelling internationally to both World and European championships. Through this, Claire has developed an understanding and ongoing interest in the further stages of rehabilitation and the demands this has on the body, both physically and psychologically. She tailors this knowledge to the individual from an early stage, ensuring a well-rounded rehabilitation approach.
Claire also has experience in Pilates including mat based and reformer and can utilise her knowledge with this approach to integrate into rehabilitation programmes.
