Sports Injury Physician. Honorary Consultant in Sports & Exercise Medicine
Dr Courtney Kipps is a Sports Injury Physician. He heads up the Sports Injury Clinic at The Putney Clinic of Physical Therapy. Courtney is an Honorary Consultant in Sports and Exercise Medicine to University College London Hospitals and is a Principal Clinical Teaching Fellow at University College London. He jointly organises the Master’s Programme in Sports Medicine at the Institute of Sport, Exercise and Health. Courtney graduated in medicine from Nottingham University in 2000.
After completing his MRCS, he was awarded an MSc in Sport and Exercise Medicine with distinction at Queen Mary’s, University of London. He originally qualified in general practice and has subsequently trained as a sport and exercise medicine physician on the London Deanery’s specialist training programme.Dr Kipps is also on the UK Task Force for “Exercise Is Medicine”. His role involves increasing awareness of the health benefits of physical activity amongst healthcare providers. At present, he is studying attitudes and barriers to physical activity referral in various healthcare settings.
