Yin Yoga is a gentle, slow-paced yoga practice that can help you to deepen your range of motion. It has a specific focus, which is to release the connective tissue of the body. Through this deeper access to the ligaments, fascia and joints, we stimulate the energetic flow within the body. As a result, it will leave you feeling calm and relaxed.
In our Yin Yoga classes, we practise floor-based poses. These poses can be held for up to five minutes, depending on your level of experience. By holding these poses, we encourage relaxation and release in both the mind and the body.
YIN YOGA AT YOGA MAMA WELLNESS
Our Yin Yoga classes are suitable for all levels; whether you are new to yoga or want to deepen and develop your knowledge and understanding of the practice. This class is a combination of different yoga techniques. We look at posture and breath work, as well as mediation and relaxation techniques. In addition, we explore how a yoga practice can stretch the body and quieten a busy mind, thus encouraging greater peace and happiness.
OUR YIN YOGA CLASSES
Our Yin yoga classes are led by Senior Yoga Teacher Cherie Lathey. They are suitable for all levels of skill and experience. To discover when these classes run during the week, please consult the Yoga Mama Wellness class timetable. We offer drop in places at a cost of £17 (subject to availability) and class passes (bundles of 6 classes) cost £90. Concessionary rates for Senior Citizens are available from reception.
