Helena Bridge is an Osteopath at the Putney Clinic. She has been in osteopathic practice for nearly 35 years, both locally and in central London. After gaining a master’s in clinical management of pain & headache disorders in 2020, she now specialises in helping people with persistent and debilitating headaches such as migraine and cervicogenic (neck-related) headaches.
Since 2016, Helena has been teaching undergraduate osteopaths at the European School of Osteopathy Headache Clinic which she founded and leads, as well as at the British College of Osteopathic Medicine Headache Clinic in London. (Click here for video).
She is a founder member of a special interest group, Osteopaths for Progress in Headache & Migraine, who created, researched and delivered a continuing professional development (CPD) e-learning course for allied health professionals called EdACHe (Education and Assessment for Confidence in Headaches), now hosted at the Health Sciences University.
Helena has been a regular contributor at educational events for physiotherapists, chiropractors, osteopaths & neurologists, as well as presenting at numerous regional osteopathic societies. For several years she ran CPD courses with the OPHM teaching team at the former University College of Osteopathy; she has co-authored several published studies on headache education.
Helena is a member of the International Headache Society and the British Association for the Study of Headaches, and is an associate member of the Royal Society of Medicine. She is a member of the Institute of Osteopathy and is registered with the General Osteopathic Council.
In her spare time she enjoys concerts, films, gardening, and trudging up hills with her family.
