Acupuncture is a proven therapy practiced throughout the modern world. Its foundation is the theory and philosophy of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), an ancient system of natural healing which was also a way of life in China and Japan dating back several thousand years.
Fine hair-like needles are placed in strategic points on the body and will remain in situ for approximately 25 to 30 minutes. It is holistic in its approach and addresses the whole person, body and mind, and the problem/concern presented. Diet and lifestyle are also taken into account. This is a “root and branch” approach treating the cause and symptoms respectively.
It can be highly effective in maintaining a balanced state of wellbeing and optimum health by helping the body and mind recover its physiological balance.
