Join us for this informative online event where we will be discussing the benefits of ultrasound guided injections for managing joint and tendon pain. Learn about the latest techniques and advancements in pain management from our in-house musculoskeletal consultant and ultrasonographer, Chris Pruvey.

About the talk

During the talk, Chris will cover the following topics:

  • When to consider ultrasound guided injections, including symptoms which respond well to USGI.
  • Common conditions which are indicated for ultrasound guided injections.
  • The different types of injections available (corticosteroid, sodium hyarulonate, prolotherapy`).
  • How ultrasound guided injections are performed.
  • What to expect following an ultrasound guided injection.

Using video examples from his clinics, Chris will demonstrate how the needle is visualised under ultrasound when injecting into a variety of joints and tendons. `In addition to this, he will also discuss post-injection recovery timeframes and overall success rates. At the end, there will be time for a Q&A session.

Chris Pruvey is a MSK Sonographer at The Putney Clinic of Physical Therapy, providing Ultrasound Guided Injections.
