IT'S NEVER TOO LATE TO ACHIEVE YOUR GOALS

Clinic patient, Ed Horne, Guinness World Record

It's never too late to achieve you goals. Ed Horne, who is a patient at The Putney Clinic, recently completed the Triple Crown of open-water swimming: The 20 Bridges Swim (Manhattan), the Catalina Channel (California), and the English Channel. In doing so, he entered the Guinness World Records, as the oldest male to complete the challenge at the age of 68 (and those all important 99 days).

Following hip replacement surgery in 2015, Ed has had regular treatment at the clinic with Clive, Adrian and Toby. The osteopathy and massage sessions formed an integral part of his training regime, helping him to maintain and improve flexibility and prevent injuries.

In the build up to his English Channel swim, Ed raised £25,000 for four charities that he has connection with, including MIND and Diabetes UK. He took on the Catalina Channel and 20 Bridges swims purely as a personal challenge.

If you have been touched by Ed's story, he asks that you make any donations to MIND, Diabetes UK or to a cancer charity of your choice.
